The quotes, guidance and encouragement are based on Nichiren Buddhism and the Lotus Sutra, the Sutra that Shakyamuni Buddha preached in the last 8 years of his life. In this Sutra, Shakyamuni teaches that all beings are endowed with the Buddha nature and are thus Buddhas themselves. Shakyamuni Buddha stressed not to seek enlightenment outside oneself but to look within. Applying Buddhist principles and encouragement to daily life will help one develop courage, compassion and personal responsibilty.
